This Lesson

Make an aircraft out of paper. An electric motor with propeller will provide thrust.

The flight testing stations is made from a 36" strip of wood on a pivot point. A 9 volt battery pack powers the device. Any type of switch can be used to control the pack.

Fly your plane for 30 seconds and use the Verier Go! Motion detector to determine Meters Per Second (MPS). Students will need to record two numbers in their DailyLog spreadsheet:

1. Speed in MPS.
2. Area of wing.
